Awful hit followed by a more terrible reaction, just bad all around.

**** you, Jon Sim!

Garth Snow should trade/waive everyone on the ice when Bailey was hit. That was a bigger joke than the hit.

I understand Streit skating in to make sure Bailey was okay but gimme a fuggin break, Jon Sim and Kyle Okposo were right there. I mean, when Kyle got hit, there was a line brawl after. Do something!

Remember, Colin Campbell hates the Islanders. So lets not go crazy here. I'm sure it pained him to give out a suspension at all, but he had to save face.

That's a pretty disgusting reaction by the Islanders, standing there looking around at each other. It's Ponikarovsky for fuk sakes.
Sim and Okposo probably saw that Poni once fought Rob Ray, so they held back.

Its disgusting to see him suspended for the rematch with the Isles.

Of all the the hacks on the Isles, you'd have to think a guy with heart like Trevor Gillies would address it.

Unless that "heart" thing goes away when you put on Island blue and orange?

Dirty hit I would have been more inclined to give it 3-5 than just 2

Okposo should have started pummeling Poni, even if Poni was on his knees. Crap response from the Isle.

What could have Gillies done though? He wasn't on the ice when it happened and Ponikarovsky got a game misconduct. The only thing he could have done was go after Crosby.

What BK said.

With Jackman having the cage on, I'd expect Gillies to square things up next game. If given the shot.
