NHL Decides Against Supplemental Discipline for Mikhail Grabovski
NEW YORK -- Following a telephone hearing conducted this morning, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has decided not to assess Supplemental Discipline to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski for an incident that occurred during NHL Game No. 160 Saturday night in Montreal.
After interviewing both players involved in the incident and reviewing all of the available video and medical reports, the League could not determine conclusively that Grabovski bit Montreal forward Max Pacioretty. The Department of Player Safety has concluded that there was not sufficient evidence to support imposing Supplemental Discipline. |

So the league isn't going to protect Les Habitants who cannot protect themselves? Great, maybe they'll get tougher. Canadian government should do the same with the whole province.

Going by the blurry video I posted earlier I agree with the "not sufficient evidence" excuse. I think the lesson of the incident is not to put your hand around somebody's mouth while in a scrum. Player safety has been backing away from suspensions the past couple weeks, which for most part has been the right decision.

Based on past history I guess its safe to assume the Quebec Provincial Police will be called in to investigate and lay charges ala' Chara. No surprise really...Pac's arm was in the guys mouth but outside of he said/she said (you decide which is which)you can't really tell from the vid what if anything was done.

Shanahan gave him a little bite and now it's over with.

Pacioretty says he needed a tetanus shot lmfao...

It seems to always involve Pacioretty.

All right, who took Shanny and what have they done with the real one.
Two rational decisions in a week. First the even handed treatment in the elbowing incident and now this. What has the league come to? In all seriousness, good call on the part of the league. |

...is the league (and Brendan Shanahan in-particular ) going to do ANYTHING to A. Desjardins for his hit on J. Mayers, Feb. 5th? the dude put a perfectly CLEAN, TEXTBOOK hit on Mayers and gets whistled for a MATCH PENALTY -- ( they called it a head-shot ) it's been 6 days, now and I haven't heard any mention of the usual additional disciplinary action. How about maybe, a FINE and SUSPENSION for the referee? Shanahan's got the officials running-scared to CALL anything in an effort to "clean-up" the league --- the sport is being RUINED,....
