My point is...he did it. His reaction was to crosscheck a guy when it should have been to jump him and take the repercussions. He pussed out and did the douchebag thing. No excuse..or saying I don't think he intended on that outcome. Wanna tune a guy in...tune him in. Using your stick makes you a douche. Sorry.

The point is...to take this debate to picking apart pictures is removing what this incident truly was. It was a douche move..and he should pay. Any fan with 1/2 a sack should realize that..regardless of who they cheer for. It wasn't a post directed at you or any one person..it was a sweeping comment about how pathetic the last 5 pages have been...which is why I didn't quote anyone when I posted it.

I agree that putting pics of the incident is stupid, when there's video of it. I just like proving people wrong and it was obvious there was a pic missing so I found it.

It doesn't even matter whether he made contact or not, the intent was there.

I've tried to stay out of the Pens/Flyers threads because it's a given thee will be 5-10 pages of stupidity.

I don't really disagree, I just don't think he meant to do that. He might have meant to cross-check him in an attempt to instigate a fight, but his aim was a little high, and down went Schenn. This was far from McSorley-Brashear. I wish he did it differently, you wish, and I guarantee you Asham wishes as well. Too little, too late.

While he may not have intended to have the result he did..he still resorted to using his stick 1st...which in my opinion drops you to an all time low. Like I said..I'd respect his reaction more if had of just dished the mitts and jumped Schenn...which one could argue is also bush league....but much more respectable. As for the announcement...I wouldn't put it past the league to wait until tomorrow to try to amp up the hype of the game even more.

I agree with you, been a huge asham fan his entire career. He was always a great teammate. Unfortunately he made a mistake and he will be punished, but i dont think he seriously intended to hurt schenn like that.

Asham also apologized after the Beagle fight as well for this theatrics. I think or would hope he might do the same here.

he was hit high with a cross check yes it hurt him, and yes he finished the game. Last time i checked most hockey players are tough and not vaginas. I mean if simmonds can take a puck to the face then fight DE the next night then schenn can surely overcome a crosscheck to that rode up into his throat. sh!t happens
