Nashville recalls Peter Olvecky from Milwaukee
Milwaukee, WI-Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Peter Olvecky (ohl-VEHT-skee) from Milwaukee (AHL).
Olvecky, 24 (10/11/85), has posted seven points (2g-5a) in nine games with the Admirals in 2009-10. A native of Trencin, Slovakia, the 6-2, 195-pound left wing split last season between the Minnesota Wild and the Houston Aeros, posting seven points (2g-5a) in 31 NHL games and 23 points (6g-17a) in 41 AHL contests. Drafted 78th overall (third round) by Minnesota in the 2004 Entry Draft, Olvecky represented Slovakia in the 2009 World Championships in April and May, notching an assist in five games.
