Nash to have throat surgery
http://blog.dispatch.com/cbj/2008/04...hv_srgry.shtml
Quote:
Blue Jackets left winger Rick Nash is scheduled to have throat surgery today to remove a portion of tonsil that was missed a few years back in surgery.
That little lumpy lymphnoid gets infected frequently in the winter and gives Nash a really difficult time. You'll recall this season he missed two games in January because he could barely breathe.
I talked to Nash about this surgery during the final week of the season. He didn't seem too concerned about it. Not at first, anyway.
"It's minor surgery," Nash said. "I've been through it before, right? But, you know, anytime they put you under ... it's a little ... I don't know ... it's surgery, you know?"
Old adage: if you're the patient, there's no such thing as minor surgery.
