Montreal re-assigns Max Pacioretty to Hamilton
MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Max Pacioretty has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs from the Canadiens.
Pacioretty, 20, has played in 31 games with the Bulldogs this season earning 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) and 31 penalty minutes. The native of New Canaan, Connecticut also made his National Hockey League debut this year with Montreal, playing in a total of 34 games and posting 11 points (three goals, eight assists) and 27 penalty minutes. Last season, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound left wing competed in 37 games with the University of Michigan where he registered 39 points (15 goals, 24 assists), 59 penalty minutes and was named Rookie of the Year. Pacioretty was drafted by Montreal in the 1st round, 22nd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
