The Sabres really worked the Hawks in this one. The next best offer was one of Scott Hartnell's sticks signed by Justin Beiber (by Philly).

The cap ceiling goes up and GM's IQ's drop accordingly. Montador gets this and Erhoff gets 10yrs from the Sabres? WTF!

Montador is a good 3rd pairing d-man.

Should be paid 1.5 mil.

Will be paid 2.75 mil.

Wow, good for Monty - guy has bounced around the league a little the past 5 years, getting by on 1 or 2 year deals, and now lands a long term deal at a good price - perhaps a little too much, but nothing crazy. He may not fight as much as he used to - or be that good at it when he does - but he brings a lot to the table with a lot of heart and character.

Or one of chara's jerseys signed by Ed Hardy. It's a decent signing, Montador can play solid D but not too good at dropping the mitts.
