oh well Ed Jovanovski seems to get suspended a couple times a year for elbowing, so it serves him right. bother dirty teams wouldn't expect anything different.

Hey, cup wins are cup wins, since when does the joining date make a différence(unless Of course you want to split hairs,which inevitably happens in thèse discussions). By the way gun, your condescension is wasted, I was born in 1964 So i dont think "go back to school kid" applies.

Cup wins are cup wins are they? When one team has been in existance about 65yrs longer than the other? Come on, you can do better than that. Good luck with that reasoning. And according to the new rule, yea, he should have been suspended.

Im content with my reasoning , and No, the suspension is unwarranted. When and if philly wins a cup before the leafs in THIS era, i will consume all the crow you feel the néed to dish out but, as it stands ,One team has won fukall in over 40 years and the other In almost 40 years ,close only counts in hand grenades and horseshoes.

And the fantasy land you live in. In your case, my condescension is well earned. According to the rule, Brown deserved the suspension. Oh right, your still living in the wonderland of former Leaf greatness(pre-67'). I guess I should'nt expect you to know or understand the current rule. You probably still think helmets are optional. Your all class g. Apparently you can't discuss anything without adding in a few insults, typical. As a matter of fact the leafs have sucked ass for a long time and WILL for the foreseeable future. I'm not blind to it. To me brown tried check jovo off the puck and when he stretched for it he bent down and got caught there was no "intent to injure".

Brown wasn't trying to head shot a star player! He was hitting a player that was bent over, should have had his head up, is 6 inches taller than him AND throws the odd elbow now and then anyway. It was Jovanovski, he would have taken care of the situation on his own if the refs would have gotten out of the way. He was a little woozy, so Brown probably would have kicked his ass, but you never know when someone is fighting while their mad, Just my opinion as a FIGHT FAN. I couldn't care less about the outcome of the game of the two teams playing.
