Maple Leafs Mike Brown (Shoulder), Colton Orr (Flu) Miss Practice

Quote:
The Leafs welcomed back Clarke MacArthur (finger injury) and Mike Komisarek (eye injury) to practice but Mike Brown (shoulder) and Colton Orr (flu) did not take part in the skate. Brown is day-to-day and his status for tomorrow won’t be known until the morning skate.

Here is how the Leafs lineup looked at practice today

van Riemsdyk-Bozak-Kessel
McClement-Grabovski-Kulemin
Frattin-Kadri-Komarov
MacArthur-Steckel

They better both be back by Saturday against Boston!

Orr should be fine, just the flu. Brown is the one I'm worried about.

Brown is an ultimate punch throwing machine I want him back badly. It is so important to have these type of players around in 2013!! I see a bit of Gillies in him

Sucks to hear Brown is hurt again. He has improved a ton as a fighter over the past two years but all these injuries are definitely taking a toll on him. At this point I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if he doesn't get another NHL contract once his current deal expires, which is sad considering he is only 27 years old.

It's crazy how much more entertaining and better Brown has become at fighting. He used to have terrible balance issues and was mostly boring to watch, but after working with Colton Orr in practice over the last couple years he's really came through.

It will be a huge blow to this team if Brown happens to be gone for more than just a couple days. Brown and Orr are both even in the plus/minus department. I know they don't get a lot of ice time but I'd say that's decent for a 4th line. They can give us safe minutes while firing up the team/crowd at the same time.

Saw Carlyle on TV. He said Brown hurt his shoulder after falling when his fight with Mike Weber ended. He said he didn't think it was serious.

He said Orr started having symptons of the Lucic flu on the bus on the way back from Buffalo. He said when Orr came in for practice on Wednesday he was in bad shape. Carlyle said apparently Orr is one of those guys who is "bedridden" when he gets the flu. He said instead of having him around spreading the problem they just sent him home.

I'd say it's not looking good for Boston. If Brown is in I don't know how much scrapping he'll be doing with a bad wing. If Orr has the flu they might still not even want him in the room. If he does play who knows what he'll be able to bring?

Hope I'm wrong.
