The
Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that the hockey club has assigned goaltender Jussi Rynnas to the
Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Goaltender James Reimer has been removed from the Leafs’ injured reserve list and added to the active roster.
Rynnas, 25, appeared in one game for the Maple Leafs this season playing 10:20 and stopping all six shots on February 19 at Tampa Bay. The 6-5, 212-pound goaltender has played 17 games for the Marlies in 2012-13 and has compiled a record of 8-8-1, a 2.57 goals against average, a .913 save percentage and three shutouts.
