Not sticking up for the guy, but he got hosed in the transaction that sent him to NYI. Remember, he never waived his NTC, but an arbitrator eventually ruled that the trade could be completed. Not sure I can blame him here.

Ok, so maybe I stuck up for him a little bit, but if the KHL forces him out, then it doesn't really matter. Or he'll just retire.

The Islanders defense is shaping up to be pretty ugly, they could really have used Visnovsky's talent, but it's pretty clear he would only be going through the motions, and the Islanders don't need another empty sweater playing for them. So while it hurts them, it's probably for the best.

Nevertheless, f*ck this guy. He did not have an active no trade clause anymore, as was ruled by the arbitration hearing as well. He can sulk all he wants, but he's a scumbag for not honoring his contract. I think I'm in favor or the Isles tolling his contract to essentially block him from going anywhere else (although it'll be a very large cap hit to keep on the books-not that the cap ceiling is that much of an issue for them for the foreseeable future). I don't think he wants to come back to the NHL at all, but I just want to ensure that this asshole's NHL career is over after pulling this.

He has a quote about being "pushed" by the Islanders and the NHL in the times today. What a ****ing baby. Play your game, make a huge amount of money then go back. Stop complaining that someone wants to pay you millions to play hockey.

The the ****ing baby stay in the homeland. All the stars leave to go back, what makes this douche think he's so important? I'm sure Kovy and Dats both WANTED to stay just as much as he does but when it comes down to it, you have a contract, suck it up.

At this point, he'd just be a lockerroom cancer so **** him.
