Appropriately, the KHL's hardest-hitting team notorious for its fights over the last few seasons, but subdued in the current season, untypically still in a play-off position in the Western Conference, and unexpectedly collecting most of its points in road games.

Former long-time NHL-er Alexei Zhamnov is Chekhov's GM, which I'm sure plays a role here. He expects to sign the contract at the end of this week, or next week.

No, HC Red Ice plays in National League B which is the 2nd highest level of hockey in Switzerland

My bad. All the English articles say they played in the 1st Amateur League which is the 3rd division. They must have been just recently promoted.

if they're anything like you, they're completely uninformed tools. obviously swiss hockey is better in the eyes of nhl players considering some of the bigger names are there and not in the czech republic.
