IMO the avs got the worst end to this deal, and stevie Y makes out like a bandit. The avs would rather have downie over a det. first rounder?

Sportsnet.ca is saying Colorado traded Downie to Detroit for the 1st'er and prospect.

Tampa has obviously gotten a whole lot softer with this trade, but it's tough to say that they aren't the biggest winners here.

A 1st round pick for Kyle Quincey???

Must be. Their webite http://www.sportsnet.ca/ at the top says breaking news, "Lightning trade D Kyle Quincey to Detroit for a 1st-round pick, D Sebastien Piche".

Must just be a mix up. This one did go down in weird way and was even a mess with the TSN guys breaking it on twitter.

Didn't know that.

In that case, this is a great move for Tampa. They get a 1st round pick to help rebuild with without giving up anything from their core, plus they get to call up Angelidis. Not bad at all.

Colorado made a great move, Tampa made an unreal one.

I just find it funny that Quincy was a guy they waived and almost snuck him through waivers as well just a few years ago. Now he fetches a first round pick.

Im no GM but why the HELL would you trade a 1st round pick (when zetterberg and Datsyuk are around 30) for KYLE FREAKIN QUINCEY!!??

Can someone help me with this one?
