It's not that Meszaros is an awful defenseman, it's that he's got an awful contract. If he was making one mil people in Tampa probably wouldn't be saying the things they say about him. However, he'll be making over 5 mil in two seasons and isn't close to being worth it.

Something is brewing, this trade is a set up for another deal that will take place. It has to be........I hope, cause a 4 million dollar cap it to play on the 3rd pairing just doesn't seem logical to trade into that position.

And it's just been reported that Coburn has resigned with the Flyers.

He was never awesome, he was decent when paired with Chara but thats about it.

But at a 4 million dollar cap it, maybe there not going after Ellis. They put all these defensemen in front of Leighton and hope to god he learns paddle down goaltending this season. Ughhh.

I'm waiting to here back to see if they even have made Ellis the offer he was excpecting this morning yet.

i will say this much all TB fans hated matt carle to and thought he sucked and then he went to philly and turned out to be a good one. I just think Tb is death for most Defensemen

I dont think most people have a problem with the player, he is decent for 3rd pairing but his cap is the killer
