A few times Julien would have to light a fire under his a55 to get him going. I think he gave him the healthy scratch routine once or twice to spark him. he would respond though. I wasn't overly impressed when we first signed him but he was a decent player. when he came to boston there was questions about him and whether or not he'd ever live up to his potential. i believe he was drafted high by montreal but wasn't panning out. I was hoping he would blossom with us and prove some people wrong -particularly montreal haha. best of luck in TB. he can be a solid contributor on the 3rd line.
He was drafted by Minnesota, and Montreal traded Guillaume Latendresse
to get Benoit Pouliot
He always was streaky. When we first got him, he scored 15 goals in 38 games or so with Scott Gomez
and Brian Gionta
, then went completly silent for the playoffs.
He's the type of player who is going to score goals for 3 games in a row and stop playing for 5 games. He reminds me of any Russian you can think about...
