Leafs Trade Wade Belak to Florida
Cliff Fletcher, general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that the club has traded Wade Belak to the Florida Panthers in exchange for their fifth-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Belak, 31, has appeared in 30 games for the Maple Leafs in 2007-08 and has one goal and 66 penalty minutes.

Now what are the Leafs gonna do about muscle! They'll get beat up if they dont replace him!

When I heard Janssen had gone to St. Louis the first thing I said to my roommate was "if he was on the market, why the hell didn't Florida or Montreal pick him up?!"

Well I guess we have an answer as to why Florida didn't get him! Good move to pick up Belak, hopefully he plays.

sounds like Brookbank, Brashear, and the rest of the Southeast guys have a new buddy. I think it may be too little too late for Florida.

Panthers need some toughness and they need to sell some tickets. They've got a lot of home games coming up. The Leafs can always re-sign him in the summer if they want to. They don't play him anyways.

Thank god belak can actully play good hockey and that joke maurice wouldnt play him, john ferguson jr didnt seem to think it was a great trade on tsn
