Kip Brennan to play in Finland
Kip Brennan will play 08-09 season in team IFK of Helsinki!! Sorry guys, love to see him play here but I thought he'd be an NHL caliber player. He was definitely brought here to match Sami Helenius of Jokerit, the big rival of HIFK.

Well obviously if Helenius and Nielikainen (has fought Helenius and Vandenbusche to draws) weren't playing in Jokerit, Brennans chances of landing to IFK would be a hell of lot smaller. But hey I love it, just deepens the rivalry!!

Sure would've liked to see him in NHL on a regular basis...

Seems to me that Brennan earned himself a bit of a reputation as a loose cannon lastyear. I wonder if that had anything to do with a lack of job offers here in the states? I was hoping he might land in Providence as Big Macs replacement. Oh well.

I'm still sickened that the Islanders never let Kip get into an NHL game last year. The guy definitely earned the opportunity and would have filled a gaping hole, but it would make too much sense for the Islanders organization to do something logical that would please the fans.

Best of luck in Finland Kip, sorry we couldn't treat you better last season.
