LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles Kings
, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs
, terminated the contract of forward Cam Paddock, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. Paddock is expected to join the Augsburg Panthers of the German Elite League.
Paddock, 28, recorded five points (2-3=5) and 44 penalty minutes in 39 games with the Monarchs this season. The 6-foot-2, 192-pound native of Vancouver, British Columbia played last season in Germany with the Iserlohn Roosters
where he collected 17 points (5-12=17) and 40 penalty minutes in 46 regular season games. Paddock has appeared in 16 career NHL regular season games – all with St. Louis during the 2008-09 season. Originally selected by Pittsburgh in the fifth-round (137th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Paddock recorded two goals and three points in those 16 NHL games with the St. Louis Blues
. Paddock has also logged games in the AHL with Peoria, San Antonio and Wilkes-Barre, and in the ECHL with Phoenix and Wheeling.
