Hopefully he gets a shot up with the Kings, he would be a scary force if he learned how to fight.

I think that Ivanans is a bid overrated,
but anyway he is still a solid Heavy who will be hopefully a good Enforcer for the Monarchs.
But I am very happy that the Kings finally have more toughness in their System.

Is Flinn still a King/ Monarch ?

Ivanans is probably the replacer for Flinn.
Flinn is not under a contract, he hasn't played since he suffered a concussion in that fight against Jim Vandermeer.

This sucks...I hope they resign him for another year-
Maybe they need him if Laraque killes Parros.

I really hope Raitis will have a chance to play for the big club.
Anyway, its good to see, that he signed new contract. He is not done yet.

Man this division is tough. While this is probably an AHL move, even though the Kings are pretty tough, they don't have anyone who can go with Laraque. This kid's chances may rest on how he does in their meeting on 10/19, as well as how he fares against Boogaard the night before.

I got a chuckle out of this one. He is a fighter and nothing else. He better "learn" to fight.

It would be great to see this guy in the West where he can take on Laraque, Fedoruk and Boogard. His playing skills are very substandard. If anything he better learn to play hockey if he wants a shot at the big club.

Rullier was Rangers property and Jackman is an UFA. The Monarchs had no one. Kings signed Brendan Buckley, more of an agitator and now Ivanans. None of there other prospects are really tough guys and with the chances of potential star Anze Kopitar being in Manchester, they need all the protection they can get...

His technique and punching style looks adequate at best, lucky for himself he is the size of a small car. I just think he is one of those guys who looks like he would be a good enforcer, but in reality doesn't have the pugilistic skills to get the job done.
Btw He won the fastest skater on the Hamilton Bulldogs two years in a row.

Its not his "fighting" skills that are keeping him out of the NHL. Its his playing skills. Being a fast skater doesnt mean your a good hockey player. Its one component only.

He might have but I doubt it. He's a LW. I can only imagine how bad he would be on defense...

It's really too bad to see him go. I thought he was the habs enforcer of the future. Congats kings fans, you got yourselves a good one!

By the way, he started his hockey career on D, but after a few years in North America he realized that he would better fit the bill as an enforcer if he moved to the wing. The NHL and AHL oficially have him registered as a forward, but the hockey news labels him as a d-man.
