It's a two-way, I assume?

Even so, good news. The kid's got heart.

Ummm I would think it's a one-way considering his play in the playoffs.

Good Signing. He fits real nice on the 3rd line.

Dwight can fight when he wants...his problem is, he is too nice.

Hopefully he drops them 6-8 times next year.

It is, I think he is making 750k a season. One of my favorite King players. He is the better hockey player out of the 2, but D.J. was the better fighter.

That would be a stretch. He just isn't mean enough. He reminds me a lot of Taylor Pyatt. A big body and he can fight when the mitts come off he just doesn't have any interest in doing so.

perfect comparison! i see him the exact same way. he did very well against Crombeen in the St Louis series, and he had a good rookie camp fight a couple of years ago which ended when the kid he was fighting injured his shoulder.

I could see Dwight's load actually hitting the 6-8 fight mark if the Kings stay healthy. Clifford's play took a step backwards and we won't see as much of him with everybody healthy for more depth (plus the possibilty of another forward coming in via Bernier trade of FA). Fourth line might be something like Lewis/Richardson/Fraser most of the year... And more than likely won't see much of Westgarth at all. Dwight might be stuck fighting simply because he's the only big body on the ice to do so!

Great signing either way, the size he and Nolan brought to the team when they were called up was another 'big' piece of the Stanley Cup puzzle. Quick, Sutter, Carter/Johnson trade, elevation of Brown's play, and the callups. They all had their parts. Hope Dwight continues to develop and takes full advantage of his size going forward. Is it hockey season yet?

Plus I'll never get sick of his goofy face.

Was thinking that exact same thing when I first posted. Very similar to Pyatt.

I thought all players that come from the Meadow Lake area are tough.

Yeah, but some can actually skate, like this kid. Anyway, his big brother was "Meadow Lake tough" enough for the both of them. Was.
