Obviously he is very streaky player and will no doubt be invisible for a few 5 - 10 game stretches, but 3 million for a player who stays healthy and will pretty well guarantee scoring you 20 goals from the 2nd line?

I have no problem with this.

He hardly ever played on the first line in Toronto and pretty well always played on the 2nd line. There shouldnt be much difference in LA

My favourite Ponikarovsky moment while he was in Toronto.

PONIKAROVSKY vs ROB RAY

Unless you are a childhood friend of his from the Ukraine and reminiscing about some possible fights by the teeter totter 20 years ago, I have no idea what your talking about.

He's only been in 2 or 3 NHL fights. Check that...."fights".

Lombardi says, the Kings are done with filler players and temp bridges (his words, not mine)..... Yet this is exactly that. I would have been fine giving that line up spot to a kid from manchester.

Lombardi looks horrible this offseason so far.

Frolov's agent is on record as saying that Murray screwed him by complaining Frolov wasn't working hard enough, demoting him to the 3rd line, and benching him at times. "He (Murray) cost him (Frolov) millions." is the exact quote I believe.

Doesn't sound like a player who wants anything to do with returning to LA under any circumstances (barring a greatly inflated contract offer).

LA screwed Fro over real good. I don't blame him for not wanting to come back. The Kings lately have a track record of doing this to players. Also if the organization doesn't like you for some reason, you have no chance (I.e Cammy, O'sully, ect...)

Also I think it's some sort of power trip with Lombardi. He wasn't the one that drafted Fro, it was Taylor... So in his Eyes Fro will not be anything, because he had no part in the decision of Bringing Fro to the Kings. I heard Lombardi had this same attitude in San Jose.
