Kings Activate Justin Williams From Injured List
 

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have activated forward Justin Williams from the injured reserve list, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. Williams, who suffered a broken leg during the Kings-Coyotes game at Phoenix on December 26, is expected to be in the line-up tonight for the Kings-Stars game at Dallas.

Williams, 28, has missed the club’s last 28 games due to the injury. In 33 games with the Kings this season, he has 24 points (8-16=24) and 31 penalty minutes. At the time of the injury, Williams was tied for fourth on the team in points and tied for third on the team in assists.

In 536 career regular season NHL games with the Kings, Carolina and Philadelphia, Williams has 344 points (133-211=344) and 364 penalty minutes while in 42 playoff games, he has 24 points (8-16=24) and 46 penalty minutes.

The 6-1, 193-pound native of Cobourg, Ontario, was acquired by the Kings from Carolina on March 4, 2009, as part of a three-team trade. He was originally Philadelphia’s first-round selection (28th) overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
