Kings Activate and Assign Richard Clune

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have activated forward Richard Clune off of the injured reserve list and have assigned him to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Clune, 21, has not played in a game for the Kings this season. He suffered a groin injury during a preseason game on September 26 and was placed on the injured reserve list on September 30 (retroactive to September 26).

The 5-10, 198-pound Clune, who has yet to play in an NHL game, is a native of Toronto.

was hoping he'd be on the 4th line when he was ready. hopefully he gets a call up sometime during the season.

Hammond says he'll play the weekend in the AHL then they'll decide what to do with him. Hopefully it's a recall.
