The way the Canes have played, that whole team should be put on waivers...

I think your issue is with the GM Jim, Rutherford. Just today he is taking the blame for this mess so far. I think Maurice was the reason Harrison was here, coming from Toronto and all.

Harrison has played as "well" (not exactly well, but the same level as) most of the rest of our defense, certainly as well as Wallin, or Alberts, and for MUCH less money.

****ty break for him.

Obviously Jay Harrison was the problem in Carolina. He's a 6th defenceman who with limited minutes will battle, play hard, and fight for himself and his teammates. Naturally he's the kind of player you'd want off your team. Purse Swinging, Panty Wearing, Penis Preferring, Poontang Paul Maurice strikes again.

Gleason is coming back and we have no room for Harrison who is the only defensemen with a two-way contract.

Like I said earlier, Maurice liked Harrison, that is why he is here and on the team. Jim Rutherford is pushing the panic button because we can't realistically fire Maurice and bring in a new one unless its promoting an assistant, or bringing back Laviolette (they are still paying him). Rutherford has backed himself into a tight spot.

Not by a long shot. Paul Maurice never used Harrison in Toronto, mainly for the reasons stated in my previous post. Now if it was Andy Wozniewski we were talking about here, that be a different story.

The 2 way contract scenario clears things up though.

Here comes ***** hockey, no room for Conboy now no room for Harrison. If JR is going to get rid of some veterans to make room for youngsters he had better bring in someone to defend this team because one of those young kids will be laying face first on the ice before the seasons over with nobody out there to do anything about it.

They don't need to send him anywhere actually. I think he'll stay with the team.

How long does clearing waivers stay good for? I read that he was "waived" at the beginning of the season and that the time for that "waiving" to still be valid had ran out so they are "waiving" him again.

I can see why the Canes would wave him. Harrison clearly has a penis, unlike the rest of the ax-wounds in that lockerroom.

I have officially given up ....... I was just saying to a buddy the other day how Jay Harrison seems to have finally found a home with the Canes. A coach that's familiar with him while playing a physical role on a team not noted for it's pugilism.

I understand being placed on waivers isn't a guaranteed ticket out of Carolina but it can't be great for Harrison's confidence.

If Jim Rutherford and Paul Maurice were in charge of the Whalers, they'd be a bunch of purse swingers in green instead of red. Is having a weak team excusable if they're in a "real" hockey market? Detroit would seem to indicate no.

If he has a 2 way contract, why would he have to go through waivers?? That's usually only relegated to guys with a one way deal.
