Couldn't he be suspended for that? Unless of course LA is planning on bringing him up to the team anyway.

I meant that he hasn't joined the team yet, there is speculation why he hasn't. He will not be in the game tonight and by all accounts Schenn just didn't miss a flight, this is the actions of the organization.

Here is one of the articles talking about it.

Quote:
And now, for what you really want to know...

Brayden Schenn is not expected to be in the line-up tonight when the Monarchs play game two vs. the Senators at 7pm EST. In fact, word is, he's not even in New Hampshire at the moment.

Game three is scheduled for Sunday afternoon in Binghamton. So, he has plenty of time to get there by then.

Or...

Also Monarchs hockey on twitter confirms he won't play for the Monarchs tonight.

John Zeiler gets recalled. So for now, no Schenn. I don't think Zeiler will get into the game, but talking about dirty hits...

Friday practice update; Murray steamed
Quote:
Terry Murray said that he would “accept the decision” by the league to suspend Jarret Stoll for one game, but Murray was steamed that the league did not sususpend San Jose’s Jason Demers for his hit on Ryan Smyth. Murray called Demers’ hit “five times more severe” than Stoll’s hit. A team source said the league office reviews all such hits, and that the Kings asked the league to look at the Demers hit in particular, but no suspension was given.

Murray said Trevor Lewis would center the line with Ryan Smyth and Justin Williams, and that John Zeiler would play tomorrow. Zeiler can play center or wing, but it’s probable that he would center Alexei Ponikarovsky and Kevin Westgarth. Murray said he hadn’t yet decided. More on all this, and other notes and quotes, to come…

i think one game is fair, it was an unfortunate result since it is a typical play that was executed poorly by Stoll.

It didn't result in an injury (which is sadly criteria for the NHL to care) but it wasn't a hit to teach the kids... I don't think it's a big deal, but it definitely falls into the asshole category.

Proabably would have been more than one game if it wasn't the playoffs. Should consider himself lucky.

Murray is a joke. Five times more severe?? Seriously? I've watched the replay of Demers hit 20 times ..sure it was a dick move..but 2 minutes tops. Drop the crack Murray. Your player blatantly tried to remove White's head and he's lucky he only got one game. Bush League play and he's lucky he isn't gone for the season ( White could be done ). Brutal hit and the one game suspension just goes to show the lack of consistancy in the League's decisions. And this coming from a fan that couldn't give a rat's ass who wins this series.
