Jamie Langenbrunner Inks One-Year Deal With St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed forward Jamie Langenbrunner to a one-year contract.

“We are excited that Jamie has agreed to stay in St. Louis,” said Armstrong. “His professionalism and leadership both on and off the ice are invaluable assets for our club.”

Langenbrunner, 36, posted 24 points (six goals, 18 assists) in 70 appearances with the Blues last season including his 1,100th NHL game on Mar. 27 against Nashville. The 6’1, 202-pound forward has played 17 NHL seasons, appearing in 1,105 games, amassing 662 points (243 goals, 419 assists) along with 837 penalty minutes. A two-time Stanley Cup Champion (Dallas 1999, New Jersey 2003), Langenbrunner has registered 87 points (34 goals, 53 assists) in 146 NHL playoff games.

The Cloquet, Minnesota native was originally signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 6, 2011. Langenbrunner was drafted by Dallas in the second round, 35th overall, of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.
