I know it wasn't a clean hit, but 8 games?! Seems like overkill to me.

If you think Seabrook's hit on Perry was worse you're nuts (Hardhittin). This is the epitome of a dirty hit. The guy doesn't have the puck, and Wiz left his feet. I'm fine with the suspension.

He does. Both his scraps this season were manning up after hits. He also steps up for teammates.

The Seabrook hit on Perry is a non issue. Perry turned at the last minute and I think Seabrook held up as much as he could. Perry was going to get plastered so he put himself in a bad position trying to avoid the hit.

The Wisnieski hit was pretty bad, He came flying in and put his forarm right under Seabrook's chin causing his head to hit the glass. I don't know about 8 games but forget about comparing any suspensions handed out now to any handed out earlier in the year. They are going to come down on some people now.

I think the 8 is a little steep. What I would REALLY like to see,are the 4 bozo officials at least get fined,if not, suspended,or banned from working the playoffs for that brutal 2 minute call last night. Think that's gonna happen? No,me niether.

He ran him, no other reason for a D to go behind the net, lead with his elbow, and leave his feet. The hit deserved a penalty and a response. What I hate is that the response was from CC and not the Hawks.

I'll keep saying it, but the response from the LEAGUE is not what is supposed to happen, the TEAM is supposed to respond. Keith grabbing him and falling over isn't really a response.

8 games is too many IMO, but would people stop comparing this to the Richards/Cooke hits please. Those hits were DIRTY but legal. This hit is dirty AND illegal. They are not the same thing. Again, Wiz leaving his feet, leading with the elbows, and runs him from 65 feet is not the same as a legal head shot with the shoulder.

This is going to seriously hurt him in the Norris trophy race.

Wow, I was not expecting 8 games for that hit. That's way too many IMO. I thought he'd get 3-5 games max.

This is exactly what he should have got. It may look extreme in comparison to the Cooke non-suspension, but that was a bad call. This is a good call.
Wiz looked like Starman in the old NES Pro Wrestling game with the Flying Forearm. I expected 4-5 gms not 8 though.

Brent Seabrook is not a dirty player in the least. That hit on Perry happens every game. He finishes his check as Perry turns his back. Total non-issue.

It's ridiculous. All you supposed fight fans go on and on about how the removal of the instigator rule will get the cheapshots out of the game, and then you cheer for cheapshots. This isn't how you get retribution. You do it by fighting. This is not hockey.
