He would have been fine had he not put force behind that hit, but either way, it's not worth 2 games. The major + GM was enough IMO.

I don't get it. Does shanny have beef against the Sabres? What's the last time a player got punished for doing something against Buffalo? Ruff was hinting that Kaleta should have seen that hit and avoided it. What a schitty coach not defending his own player. I think Lindy's comments is a factor to Brown getting nothing.

"What a ****ty coach for not defending his own player"........
We finally get a coach who is pretty much stating the truth and outs his player for doing the very thing thats killing the game today and your pissed at the coach? When you watch the play, you clearly see that Kaleta see's he is going to get hit and could very easily still play the puck AND get out of the way or avoid most of the contact and instead turns his back to the oncoming check........... It's crap like this that is getting guys hurt and concussed..........not sure about the rest of you guys but from the time I strapped on skates I was taught how to give and RECEIVE a check, and was told the worst thing you could do was turn away and face the boards............now all of a sudden guys are being instructed to turn your back to the play to draw the penalty..... I for one am glad a coach finally had the balls to call the player on it. |
