The last rumors send him behind the bench with Michel Therrien?

He was actually working in the Montreal medias, gotta wish him the best of luck.

What a gamer he was. I hope he can teach and inspire others to be half as much of a warrior as he is.

How can anyone not respect a warrior like Laperriere , no matter what team he played for he always gave his all for the logo on the front of his jersey .

Good luck in retirement Ian , may all your injuries by little ones from now on ..

Lappy was everything you wanted outta your bottom 6.

Good to see he's staying with hockey.

All the best in retirement.

I wonder if his career would've panned out differently had he stayed with the Blues back in '95..dude was scorer in juniors, not much of a fighter. I always got the feeling it was role that was put upon him and he did it to get paid as an NHL regular and not for any inclination or passion for that stuff in such measure..but such is often the way in the show

Like someone aready mentioned, maybe he can rub off on a couple players, even though I cant see anybody being half the beast he was on the ice. He will be greatly misssed by all who have had the chance to watch this guy play!
