I doubt you'll see Westy against the Lightning. BJ Crombeen, PC Labrie and Ryan Malone don't exactly strike fear into the hearts of anyone. Who knows....maybe we could see some of the boys from the 'Cuse come up for a game. I doubt it....

Based on how soft they went while Oates and Johanson were running the Bears (while having Berry, Clackson, Steve O, and Wellar at their disposal) and the fact that Clackson continues to get sat even now in Hershey after the two coaches left, I feel like it's just a continuation of softness in DC. (I'm not saying Clackson should be called up, I'm just using the fact that Hershey has one of the more active and better fighters in the AHL and they don't use him and combining that with how Washington generally does things, it makes no sense for them to try and get tough now, even though the rest of the division is.)

Westy and Garrison is a nice 1-2 with Larose causing drama. Hope the east doesnt let down. Kind of figured Westy was going to be on the outs since King/Clifford can handle most of the west teams. Biz is the only guy I can see giving King trouble unless PLL and Bordeleau make their repected teams.

**** YES!!!
Hopefully he gets to play 48 or so games this season, lol. Harrison, Gleason, and Westgarth isn't too bad. Not to mention that they might possibly be looking for more 4th line grit as well. And Anthony Stewart, as nice of a human being as he is, totally sucked ass for 99% of his ice time. He's no loss at all. I was expecting him to be traded for "future considerations" at the most, simply to clear a spot for a Checker to come up. Didn't know why he was Bill Cowhers son in law. That explains why he was in the area skating with Canes players in the recent past. Last edited by chilly666; 01-14-2013 at 05:50 AM. |

I wonder how Westgarth feels about this trade when the Hurricanes face the Sabres and eventually Scott.

Its about f*cking time that the Canes got a legit tough guy! Nice move for them. Glad to see another heavy come east!
