Honestly I rather have a player like that instead of a Euro like Miroslav Satan that floats around and only really tries if they have the puck on their stick, if they don't score they bring nothing to the team no defense or checking. Say what you will about Lapierre and Kaleta at least they will throw a hit any chance they get.

If there's one type of player I hate more than a guy who turtles, it's a guy who makes a habit of flopping around in a way that would make the Italian soccer team embarrassed. Maxim Lapierre, however, is the worst of both worlds. The guy just oozes scumbag, and he fits in great with the Canadiens.

The league would be better off without either type of player.

Honestly i love it!

I hate the c##ksucker whit a passion but whit the NHL being as boring as it is now I root for the rats. Bee as dirty as you want without any fear of retributions/justice. Maybe if your unlucky old Colin will deprive you off a few dollars

The rats are our only hope to get the league back to its glory days.

Lapierre destroying one off the leagues stars whit a dirty hit, may be the only way to force the
media/bandwagon fans to realise the value of having a enforcer on the roster.

Better this guy then another robot, which is what the NHL is turning in to.

I watch hockey to be entertained, and this guy... is entertaining. So is Avery, Hollweg, Kaleta and every other guy you guys knock.

No it wouldn't because enforcers can't do **** to stop rats because of the instigator rule. Eventually, thanks to the dirtbags like Lapierre, the league will just start cracking down more on hits and take any remaining physicality out of the game.

Yes Grits you are right the instigator rule is a obstacle for the enforcer.
But still the owners are the ones that put that rule in place to sell the game to soccer moms.

But maybe when they see there investments limping to the dressing room after a late Kaleta hit in a increasing manner, they will rethink that stupid rule

We have all read about the lack off respect in the modern nhl.and i have a hope that the owners will see there errors, but probably I'm naive and the end result will be as you state a ridiculous new rule that will lead to hockey being a non contact sport.

Hey dude, this thread isnt about Richards is it. I dont even remember what hit you are talking about. He is a scum bag but I am glad maxim is in the show because it does make the game more fun as fans but I am just saying I hate him. Get over it homer, your boy is a scum bag.

I know it's not about Richards, I was just saying that Lapierre isn't that much of a dirty hitter, he's just talk. Of course if he's not on your team you will hate him, but watching him all year long is pretty fun, he's the only one in the habs jersey that make rough stuff hapens...but yet again, he don't really fights... I would love to see Pierre Gauthier sign an enforcer....is there any other good enforcers available ???

i'm just glad that this signing isn't for way too much money, the guy is just chippy and not all that gifted for getting points. He's not my favorite Hab but it will do.
