David Nonis had better be one of the GMs talking to the Avs. He would be too good of a fit for the Leafs for them to not have some interest.
McKenzie also said the price is steep as well. So I am assuming they are asking for the world, first one to give it to them gets this done.

Ryan O'Reilly would be a perfect fit for the Bruins as well, who desperately need a forward to replace Chris Bourque on the 3rd line. The B's have about $7 million in cap space and O'Reilly's playing style seems like a perfect fit. Plus he's a guy who would fit into their plans long-term. Boston could send Colorado Ryan Spooner and a defenseman in return.

I think you are way under on what O'Reilly's value is, I think if Boston is going to get him, Dougie Hamilton will have to be in the mix, Colorado is going to ask for the moon for Ryan, An I don't see Boston giving up Hamilton, he is really good.. An I don't see were you guys have the room under the cap for next year, You have about 14 million to spend, you need to sign Tuukka Rask (4,5mil), Nathan Hornton (4.5 mil), Andrew Ference (2.5 mil), Antoin Khudobin (1 mil) and a seventh defencemen.. With a team that is probably the best team in the East, I don't think they need, or can afford Ryan O'Reilly after this season...

O'Reilly's playing style would definitely fit well in Boston but I don't think they need him enough to pay the huge price the Avs are reportedly asking for him, not to mention his contract demands (he wants more money than Duchene who is making $3.5 mil per year). IMO the only teams that would be willing to meet those demands would be teams that would use him as a top 6 center right away, otherwise they will be overpaying.

My guess is he'll end up in either Florida, Toronto or Ottawa.

Not sure if anyone said it yet but, I read that the Avs want a TOP prospect and a roster player in return. Plus it's being reported that he's asking for 5 mil a year for 5 years.

Mainly because they were able to unload Zbynek Michalek's bloated contract last summer. They are still $8 million under the cap for this season and $11.5 million under next season's cap ($64.3 million) with 15 players signed. So they definitely can afford a guy like O'Reilly if they choose to go after him, and even after the hefty extensions they will be giving to Malkin and Letang this summer.

As far as the Avs I'm sure they are talking about O'Reilly as is every NHL team and after that not really sure. Maybe Hejduk if he wants to come here, but I don't see him fitting Bylsma's system (IE Sykora and Satan).

Teams like BUF & TOR are pushing hard for O'Reilly, but the price is high, as many have stated. Top-6 F, top prospect as part of package

Stafford is a top 6 FW, and Buffalo has lots of prospects. They need some help on D with Johnson out....Brennan, McNabb.

Wgr has been talking about O'Reilly for days.

Stafford is top 6 here... But not on any other team in the league!
