Canucks weren't even asking for Gardiner, rather, the two forwards, although they were still asking for a bit much, I can only imagine Nonis' offer and why talks broke down with Toronto.

Why do I see Bergevin not trading Subban to the off season, then pulling a major deal with Chicago or Nashville, I see Marc trying to get Seabrook or Keith out of Chicago, or Maybe even Weber out of Nashville, Any deal would have more pieces then Subban going there way... I don't see Montreal letting Philly have him, plus they cannot make a ridiculous offer like they did to Weber, since the new CBA and the cap implications prevent Philly from doing this... Weber is owed 14 million next year, and that is alot of coin for a team that is boarderline financially...

On Monday it was Dreger who said the Flyers are for sure in the picture for Luongo, and would have no problems buying out Bryz.

If this happens, I don't think the Flyers will ever get a top tier goalie ever again, and that is what they have needed since, what, since Hextall?

Then again Dreger is as much of an insider as Peter Puck.

I have no source, but. What if Subban goes to Vancouver, Luongo goes to Philly, and then something goes to Montreal. 3 way deal.

I dont see that happening, way too many factors are in play here. Moving Luongo alone is a huge challenge with the price Gillis is asking. Throw in trading an unsigned player and buying out Bryz in a half season with a crap team in front of him. Not to mention Luongo has a NMC and no one knows if Philly is on that list. Again way too much going on for a blockbuster 3 way.

Very true but all those factors are challenges regardless of what teams are involved or how many. The only weird thing is Dreger saying Philly is involved in Luongo talks, and I think he's talking out of his ass, but if it is true, this would make sense, if Philly has any pieces that they would give up. Either way to resolve the problems, Montreal has to trade an unsigned player, and Luongo alone is a "huge" challenge, regardless of what or how many teams may be involved.

if montreal won't pay him that, and he won't come off that number, i think they'll have a tough time moving unless it's on a rental basis (UFA).
i think mtl is with the majority of the NHL in thinking this guy is NOT worth 6M per

the hawks won't trade keith or seabrook especially for subban

the hawks do not need subban and his bull****. they already have a headache putting up with kane and his inability to grow up and act like an adult though he has one of the games most respected captains to follow and take guidance from on how to act.
