WALKER IS DONE FOR. he is old and his body is a mess. Vandermeer is better at this point. Walker is not relevant anymore.

Ya I read somewhere (maybe here) that Walker had another surgery (shoulder/hip?) and was basically calling it a career.

He had back surgery and is done. He will report and either be put on the LTIR or sent to the minors and stay home and collect his money. Not to sure on the whole situation surrounding the back surgery but something went wrong with it and he is barely even mobile these days.

He would wait for a lock out year to make a comeback.

Eberle expected to sign contract extension soon. I would think it would be around Hall's numbers.

Seguin as well is apparently close to a long term extension too.

There's going to probably be a lot of young guys signed to deals soon that are ok under the current CBA that will be outlawed in the next CBA. Like we've seen with Hall, and possibly with Eberle and Seguin.

Thats why the Flyers signed Hartnell and Simmonds to the deals they did. I think the league wants the new length limit to be 5yrs so sign these guys to longer deals while you can.
