According to the german hockey news magazine Jeff Hoggan says he tries to return to the Phoenix Coyotes and Jochen Hecht talked to the Vancouver Canucks but hadnt signed anywhere yet. He wants to stay in the NHL.

Having fanned the flames a bit over the past month or so on the possibility of Shane Doan ending up with the Sharks, I figured I’ve got a professional obligation to douse that blaze at this point.

Nothing on the record, but a well-placed source advises that as soon as it was clear that Doan’s camp was looking for a four-year deal, the Sharks bowed out of the bidding.

oh wait , i see your a flames fan.. Shane Doan would be another nail in your coffin. In all due respect , where my club doesnt have much of, he might be a good addition to turn that bad rep around. Vancouver needs this.
