Fair enough. But if someone who has been around the league in multiple capacities isn't well connected then I don't know who is. But take it for what you will. I'm still waiting to hear about the contract situation - something I addressed in my latest blog update (shameless plug).

so i guess a blind monkey in siberia could post a rumor and you all would believe it because it's a rumor and ALL rumors are true even without a source (proof). this is why this site got torched this past season with the "dustin brown trade to toronto" from a clown that claimed to here it on the radio when in all truth, it was bogus as all hell. anybody could make up that they heard this from their uncle and it be nowhere close to real, yet you guys would fall for it and run with it.

it's not hard to post a rumor with a source so the site doesn't get ripped again for crap that can't be proven or blame being allowed to be put on the person who actually posted it. you guys just really don't get it, still.

Relax dude, it's a rumor thread. It's just stuff people hear and usually if someone is full of **** there is a post within the next three telling us so. You don't have to sweat it so hard, we all know who posts somewhat reliable info and the total fabrications. If someone wants to post garbage and ruin their credibility then let em. It'll help sift out the idiots before the new season gets started.

Not to jump all over you Chilly but if his uncle is inside the organization or has ties to inside information would that not in reality be a source? I'm not saying he is legit but if he is it would be tough for him to provide a source.

I mean people are allowed to post all this stuff in here from the Eklunds of the world and we read it, so why make a big deal about some dudes uncle whohas ties to an organization that would in most cases be more legit then some random 2 cent blogger.

I'm not going to divulge that. I don't want to run the risk of anything coming around to bite me in the ass. As weird as that sounds, my career is going to be in the journalism business and while I'm willing to say I get my information from my uncle, I'm not going to go any further than that/reveal who he gets his information from.

Damn. Guess Pronger is done judging by this move. Is all I know is this could seriously **** Weber if Nashville matches it. I think its pretty obvious he did not want to stay in Nashville long term. Leave it to Holmgren to go balls out lol.

Chilly is just saving this sites reputation and not have it become a joke for information like hockeybuzz or something. His source nazi ways are completely understandable since most other message boards prefer people to post links to sources. That way if a rumor blows up it doesnt fall on this site and gets shifted to the original source.

Chilly, Bisson doesnt seem like the type to troll and post B.S. info. I never see you harp on Seward for not posting sources. (Not ragging on Seward, his info is always solid) You could let up on that since Gagners rumored contract was on many other sites aswell.
