I think if they lose out on Parise or Nash, they will trade for Ryan. I know I joked about the Pens going after him to piss off Flyers fans, but it just makes sense in every way - talent, contract, family, fan of the team, etc.

That just screams Minny or Islanders lol. Minny was already known on planning to outbid everyone for Parise.

someones trying to make suter the highest paid defenseman in the league lol hes not even close to being that. Hes a very good Dman but not great. not 100 million dollars great anyways

That's what you get when the salary cap goes up. Teams lose their freaking minds. When I think of $100 million defensemen, I think of guys like Chara and Weber, not Ryan Suter.

anyone know how the signing bonus works with the salary cap , i read on the bleetcher report that parise wants a 24 million dollar bonus . 12 now and 12 later.

I don't think signing bonuses count toward the cap (chilly666 can confirm or deny this); however what might happen is he gets that much in the first couple of years of the deal to lessen the overall cap hit. I don't think a team is going to give him that much in a bonus, not even the Wild.
