who exactly do the devils have that could land them kovy?

zajac, clarkson, oduya? im just curious to hear from a devils fan what a possible package may be if this rumor is true, which by the way, i doubt it is. but then again, lou is a wizard of the salary cap and has made some crazy moves for you guys in the past

Don Waddel is Glen Sather bad when it comes to deals, but I don't know. Same reason I didn't want NJ to go after Phaneuf. There's no reasonable package they could put together that wouldn't make them worse, especially in the long run. You'd have to think any deal for Kovy would involve Clarkson, Oduya or Greene, Bergfors, Elias or Zajac. Just not happening.

In hindsight, they probably could have gotten Jokinen, but he's not a Devils type player. Neither is Kovalchuk really.

hold on skorks those are truly just players i would take in a deal. but those are guys that the devils do have IF they wanted to truly make a deal though. i also know lou isn't that dumb to trade away a big chunk of his future for a cup run.
