I'd hate to see Kessel leave simply because goalscorers, like him, don't grow on trees. I think the Bruins will still be good without him. But, with him they have to be considered one of the favorites to win the cup.

The 38-year-old Swede is said to be in negotiations with the Canucks and could sign a contract valued in the neighborhood of $2 million to be the team's second-line centre. Vancouver may be prepared to make a trade if it is necessary to fit Sundin under the salary cap, if necessary.

Painfully, the speculation as to where Mats Sundin will play this season and for how much has started.

Well, here's a news flash, the odds of Sundin playing at all are very slim.

Retirement is a safer bet than Sundin resigning with the Vancouver Canucks, or any other NHL team.

JP Barry, Sundin's agent responded to a report Sundin is in negotiation with the Canucks with a strong denial.

"There have been zero negotiations with Vancouver or any team for that matter," Barry told TSN.

"Mats just returned from his honeymoon and hasn't made any final decisions about resuming his career," Barry concluded.

However, until the 38 year old newlywed announces his retirement teams will continue to call and the speculation as to where he might land will be endless.

Couple of rumors and one is actually fact. Ryan Bayda passed his physical and is practicing with the Pens now. Try-out is what I remember reading. Also Pens trying to shop Godard to the Avs. All per TIOPS.

If this happens, I'm going to be extremely ****ing pissed. Rupp IS NOT a deterrent in any way, shape or form, and the Pens are going to be steamrolled nightly by the Flyers and Leafs because they are soft as HELL even with Rupp and Godard. Trade Godard to make room for ******* like Ryan ****ing Bayda. Is Ray Shero ****ing drunk or something?

Thought is that Godard DOSE NOT fit into Disco Dan's system. But a guy like Rupp does though because he can skate and has a decent offensive set. Shero and Bylsma want a 4th line that is tough and aggresive, yet can skate and bang in a few goals. It does open the door for Biz though...

If thats true the Avs would be retarded not to do the trade. The team is going to be sh*t this season so why not atleast make the team entertaining?

Godard and Koci together would be pretty cool and would give Avs fans a reason to actually watch the games.
