And people questioned why I said TKO win Brown. Can't get much more TKO than a broken orbital bone.

diff guidlines for diff people. To me a tko is having to be helped off the ice. That you cant skate cuz your woozy. To me it was a kd. Kids tough tho. He came back and played in the game with a broken jaw. Kids tough. Every team should want a player like that.

a TKO is a technical knockout, which means your ass in lala land and cant move. Like colton orr on fedoruk

nope that's a KO, TKO is usually the lesser extent of a KO punch if the guy isn't out cold or woozy, at least in hockey terms that's what it's become

I frankly don't understand how TKO made it into hockey fight terminology. TKO is a boxing term which simply means the ref, doctor or corner man stopped the fight for whatever reason. Conditions apply when it is the doctor who stops it.

That's why it's either a KO or a KD for me. It's a good thing the ref got in there on this one but if you use the "any time the ref steps in" line of logic then any time a guy is in a vulnerable position and the ref steps in that would be a TKO.

I prefer to keep it simple. McGinn took a monster punch which ended the fight. Everyone agrees on that. Why argue over semantics?

I called a TKO on the first page also but I think we were alone. The kid wasn't woozy but he was hurt and unable to continue.

This really sucks. McGinn was looking like a great find and now this will test his mettle for sure.I have seen a lot of players change after taking a really big shot so hopefully he comes back and his confidence is still intact. It would suck to see another player change like Clifford and many others before him.
