Flyers Trim Roster by 19

The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have assigned 13 players to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms.

Among those reassigned were defensemen Oskars Bartulis, Tim Ramholt and Mike Ratchuk; forwards Rob Bellamy, Frederik Cabana, Matt Clackson, Garrett Klotz, David Laliberte, Ned Lukacevic, Patrick Maroon, Jon Matsumoto and Nate Raduns; and goaltender Jeremy Duchesne.

In addition, the Flyers have released defensemen Tim Branham, Brad Brown and forwards Igor Karlov, Mike Kaye and Dennis Packard from their pro tryouts and forward Mike Hoffman from his amateur tryout.

Do the releases mean they might get invitations to the AHL camp? I've seen that on some of the PR's, but not all.

Yeah I sorta figgered as much but I hadnt expected the guy in Atlanter to make it this far so I thought he mightve been traded and reassigned. Think thereve been 3. Searched Mike Hoffman somewhere and got 3 results. 2 guys at 5-11ish under 200 and 1 guy at 6-5ish 240ish

Thanks Caps

Same old, same old

That leaves Cote and Asham to due to knuckle chuckin' this year(at least for now). They both are gamers with big hearts and Asham is pound for pound one of the best. However, both are middleweights and can be manhandled by the heavies. Why did'nt the Flyers pick up Mcintyre off waivers or Koci in the off season? or someone of their ilk? True, neither guy is much of a player but both are huge and can intimidate, unlike Cote or Asham.

dude cote is a heavyweight, i judge that based on his fight card. Hes the most ballsy fighter in the nhl.

Did you watch last season?

Flyers already have a HW in their system in Cote, why would they bring in a guy like Koci who isn't even considerably better than him?

You make no sense.

With that post you just lost all credibility as a Flyers fan...and darn well near hockey/fight fan.
