Flyers Trade Darroll Powe to Minnesota
The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have acquired the Minnesota Wild’s third-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for C Darroll Powe, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.
Powe, 26 (6/22/85), signed with the Flyers in 2007 as an undrafted free agent out of Princeton University. In 204 career NHL games with the Flyers, he posted 22 goals and 21 assists for 41 points along with 130 PIM. Last edited by Thrillhouse; 06-28-2011 at 09:42 PM. |

I think Wild fans will like Powe. Hes an energy guy who is good in his own zone, give 100% ALL the time, good on the PK, hits, and can fight (doesnt do it enough, I think he would be decent at it). |

Another guy I liked gone. This bothers me but it will really annoy me if Nodl stays around. Nodl is like my Jody Hull of the new millenium...I have no clue who he has photos of so that he stays around.
Yea, Powe always hustles and he's a smart kid (Princeton). Throws his body around recklessly and is the definition of a grinder. You'll like him. EDIT: Yes I just realized they re-signed the Noodle, so yea it's irritating... Last edited by TwentyOneKords; 06-27-2011 at 04:27 PM. |

Awesome. A replacement for Mittens that will actually hit someone.
Fletcher continuing to make good moves this offseason. All that's left is to buy out or trade Barker for a bag of pucks.

Damn, I always liked Powe. He plays hard, and honestly I thought he should have gotten more ice time than he did. At least over scrubs like Nodl and in those road games where Carkillo forgot to pack his nuts anyway.

Madden is a UFA and is leaning towards retirement, from what has been passed along.

He's fought essentially once a year since coming into the league, and hasn't embarrassed himself with the mitts off in the NHL.. not to mention 8 fights in the AHL one year.

Huh, pretty random, but I like it. Powe and Clutterbuck on a line would be ****ing epic, constant hitting! Too be honest also, I'd like Madden to play one more year for us.
Not sure how are lines look though.
