I can't think of anyone on this website who doesn't love the way this guy plays. I'm obviously pumped.

Good gritty player with good finesse skills too. Nice re-sign.

I hate the way he plays.

Philly could have signed 3 or 4 European players for that price.

How am I ever going to get these guys who fight out of the league?

Signed,

Gary Bettman

Hopefully last year was a breakout year with many years like it to come, and not a career high and then goes back to the numbers he put up his last year in LA.

From what I've seen of his play and interviews, Wayne Simmonds is a good guy, on and off the ice. Yeah, he may rub some people the wrong way, but so do alot of good players. I'd take the kid on my team any day. The kind of guy you hate to play against, but would like to have on your team. Philly and Simmonds both made out with this deal.
Enjoy your weekend, Fellas.

This. And I can vouch for it because if Mario had his way, there would be no fighters at all on the Pens. Ray Shero at least values toughness enough to keep one or two guys who can drop the gloves.

what a great pick-up though, a tough-nosed, power forward, whose all heart.

I wish the Wings would target guys like this.....*sigh*

If he got up to 210 he would be a dominate power forward. For now he is a little to scrawny for size to get to the elite level. Stiill an amazing player and is the definition of Flyers hockey.
