Flyers Recall Forward Steve Downie
The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled forward Steve Downie from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms. In 13 games with the Phantoms this season, Downie has one goal and 11 assists for 12 points and 63 penalty minutes.
Downie recently completed a 20-game NHL suspension for his hit on Ottawa's Dean McCammond on September 25 in a preseason game. He has yet to make his NHL debut in a regular season game.

Alright, good deal. I didn't expect him to get the call so soon, but damn, Stevens must be nuts about this kid. I hope this doesn't mean Cote is on the outs...
He should make the games much more exciting. Don't expect him to fight too much though, he's not the best fighter, just look for him to stttart shiit, and occasionally answer the bell. So when do the Flyers play Ottawa again??
