The guy put up 49 pts bouncing from lines 1-4, put him on Giroux's wing, and he's a 70 pt guy. Tons of potential with him, I feel he's really close to putting his game together, potentially a great signing, hopefully he get's some consistent linemates this season.

Well for one I didnt read anything about what the preds wanted in return for Weber, could have been Shenn? Unless you read somthing to were they asked for coots your just going off speculation right? I do remember the ducks asking for him but thats it..

Hey I also think Couturier will be good, but thought the same thing about James Van too, and even with injury he didnt pan out the way we all thought right? So my point is you can live on the hopes that Sean will be great or you can trade him for a player you already know is good, a player that you know will produce.
It was just IMO thats all, and by no means am I going to get into a dumb computer argument with you, your reply just shows your worth, which isnt much if your going to flame someone over an opinion, and most people who do, only talk that way sitting in front of a computer in the safty of there own home.
And the manson avatar was an inside joke with someone on here just never changed it. But maybe I should now right since my feelings are so hurt that you commented on it? Yea ill get a cool hockey avatar cause that will be original haha. Ok so now im going to wait for the next comment of how dumb I am for thinking about this trade, or i might have spelled a word wrong so mabe you can attack my grammer, either way flame on Jr.

That's a lot of dough for 49 points but if, like you guys are saying, he can up that to 70+ points, it's a good deal.

My dad's wife is from the same home town, as is Jagr. Some pretty good players came out of Kladno!

Voracek, 22 (8/15/89), recorded 49 points (18G-31A) in 78 regular season games in 2011-12, his first with the Flyers. His 18 goals were a career-high.

Over parts of four seasons in the NHL, Voracek has recorded 57 goals and 126 assists for 183 points in 319 regular season games and 11 points (2G-9A) in 15 Stanley Cup playoff games.

Glad to have him back with the team and 4.5 does seem a bit high to me at this point in his career but the upwards potential is there so I can live with it.

Thats why he is making 4.25 because he is not worth 4.5!

I don't think it's too bad of a deal, Given the ice time and right opportunities Voracek should be able to put up some solid offensive numbers. I watch him play his junior hockey in Halifax and was impressed with his skill level. I expect he should be able to put up 25 goals and 40 assist if he plays on either the first or second line.

I see where your comin from but its a tough comparison, JVR at 19 was a good college hockey player whereas Coots was shutting down guys like Malkin (in the playoffs no less)..., his career could go a number of different ways but as it stands right now, the skys the limit for this kid.

Well put. You right. Maybe its just I feel we need one more scoreing threat. I love the team now and putting Shenn on the blue line was a great addition, but I feel were still lacking that one guy on offence.

Yea, losing Jagr JVR & Carle for Schenn and Fedotenko definitely leaves us with something to be desired offensively, I guess we're all counting on the younger guys stepping up because plans a b & c obviously fell through. I'd love to add an offensive threat like bobby ryan but not if it costs us a (potential) future great.
