Guy had 8 scraps (allbeit nto great ones last year) as the captain of the Phantoms. Dude likes to throw his weight around, doesn't take crap from anyone, and stirs the pot constantly while playing in all situations. Yeah... "lame."

Very similar mould of player to Darroll Powe not the same fearsome fighter as Powe though

You surely are kidding about Darell Powell being a fearsome fighter? He couldnt fight, and certainly never looked for trouble

lol...funny, but the point about Powe is half true...though Powe stirred the pot just rarely fought. Holmstrom seemingly looks for it at times depending on the player/situation. If anything, Holmstrom's an agitator actually I would say; if you've ever watched him play as Phantom. He's always talking and doing things to mess with guys. What's better is because he's on the top line or two he's usually goin at it with the other teams better players as well.

I like him more than Powe because he's always stirring the pot and plays all situations. He's not faster than Welly but he does skate pretty fast/well. A good depth move. The kid will likely land a bottom 6 forward job in the NHL with some team imo at some point.

Holmstrom is pretty good. He's just victim of a numbers game. We're deep at forward. You have Giroux, Briere, Hartnell, Simmonds, Couturier, Read, Voracek, Schenn, Talbot, Rinaldo, Shelley, Sestito, Nodl, JVR... oops.
