Flyers' Harry Zolnierczyk to Have Disciplinary Hearing
Philadelphia Flyers forward Harry Zolnierczyk faces a hearing with the National Hockey League Department of Player Safety on Sunday afternoon for an incident in a game against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday afternoon.
Zolnierczyk was assessed a five-minute major for charging and a game misconduct at 9:13 of the first period for a hit on Senators defenseman Mike Lundin, who left the game and did not return. Philadelphia defeated Ottawa, 2-1. |
Here we go.:bored:
I'm guessing 3 games. It should be 0. It looked like he may have clipped his head on the follow through, and his skates left the ice so they'll nail him for that. I don't think he has a prior history so that will save him a ridiculous suspension. If Raffi Torres makes this hit it's probably 8-10+ games sadly. The Senators should call up a tough player to take Lundin's place. |
Thats bull**** man
|
|
Clear violation of the rules. I would guess 5 games.
|
Any contact to the head was follow through imo but he did charge AND leave his feet, pretty blatant.
|
need to wipe the jumping out of the game, its stupid. especially since he could have still leveled him probably out cold, with a clean hit right to the chest in this situation
|
should be 2 games max, 5 is fckn rediculous and ignorant. basically he will get suspended for charging
|
Minimum 5, max of 10.
The guy left his feet. Clean or not doesnt matter and its not like its a star player being questioned. |

He should have patted him on the ass on the way by instead. **** this new NHL ****.
Edit: Oh and ****ing win Rinaldo! |
Dude, you just can't leave your feet like that. I'd be fine with just 5 minutes and a game misconduct here though.
Guessing they'll give him 2 games suspension. |
I'll say 2-5 ballpark. No real gray area here...his feet left the ice and it was charging.
|
a few years ago this was a highlight hit, now its a suspension a ****ing joke
|
Obviously a charging, but did he really leave his feet? I've had a few drinks, so forgive me if I am way off, but to me it looks like his right skate is still on the ice as he makes contact with Lundin.
