Flyers' Brayden Schenn Suspended One Game for Charging
NEW YORK -- Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn has been suspended for one game for charging New Jersey Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov in NHL Game No. 30 in New Jersey on Tuesday, January 22, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Schenn will forfeit $4,702.70. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

The incident occurred at 12:37 of the second period. No penalty was assessed on the play.

I had a feeling this was coming. I'm surprised it took this long for a suspension to be handed out.

Oh how the sport has changed....that was the highlight of the game for me. If I am finding the highlight of the game to be what they are suspending players for, I need to find a new sport.

Wasn't the ref staring right at the hit and didn't call anything??

And nothing for Fleishmann's hit from behind? I'm not calling for suspensions to be called all the time, but there is no damn consistency.
