Flames Sign J.D. Watt to One-Year Deal

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames Executive Vice President & General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of forward J.D. Watt to a one year contract.

J.D. Watt completed his second year of professional hockey in 2009-10, all with the Flames organization.

Drafted in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, the Cremona, AB native played 70 games with Abbotsford last season, recording 13 points and a team leading 267 penalty minutes.
