1) As I said yesterday Sutter is a hard ass and is going to have a legit HW on the roster.
2) Lets really hope McGrattans head and shoulder are healthy because of his style and possibly having to fight Boogey, Macintyre, Parros, who are all bigger and all are harder punchers. He is a better fighter all around imo than these guys but he will have to fight a little less open. He can still be very effective but just not as open. 3) Lets give the shoulder injury a little chance to show if its healed or not. Its not like its been bad for his whole career. If i'm not mistaken it happened when 260 lb Laraque decided to end there fight and he wrestled McGrattan down and fell directly on the shoulder. 4) DJ King just had reconstructive shoulder surgery and nobody seems to questioning his shoulder and assume it will be fine. 5) Good for the flames and the NHL for signing another tough guy (goon) whos mainly there just to fight. I bet Buttman saw the signing and cringed .....

I don't mean to be repetitive here, but was it cocaine that he was on? Where did you hear this at? I figured it was pills or pot if anything, Mac is way too laid back to be on coke.

Good to see McGrattan getting a team that needs a proper heavyweight.. Hopefully he's fully fit and in the right state of mind to be a top contender this year...

I just realized that too, but if they were to fight again I see McGratts beatin the piss out of Cote. Cote putting up a good fight as usual though

I was thinking the same as well as Florida since he has a fan base down there from the Tampa. Im also surprised there is NO rumor leak or any talk about him.

This is obviously a response to the emergence of Rick Rypien in Vancouver. I expect that most teams in the Northwest will start loading up on heavies to try to counter Rypien. The Flames will probably re-sign Roy as well, so that he can fight Rypien after Rypien injures McGrattan.
